A doorman at a nightspot was today recovering after being stabbed twice.
The attack happened as he was working outside the Rocking Horse Bar, in Colne Road, Clacton, at just before 1am yesterday.
An altercation took place and the doorman, who is 45, suffered two stab wounds to his side. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The attacker ran off, but it is not known where he went. He is believed to be about 5ft 4ins or 5ft 5ins tall, of slim to medium build and about 20 years old. He was wearing a light-coloured hoody.
The victim spent a night in Colchester General Hospital, but is thought to have been released after treatment yesterday.
