Silence will still be golden at Walton library, for the time being.
Walton library, in High Street, Walton, had applied to Tendring Council for a public entertainments licence so it could join in with the seaside town's popular Folk Festival event.

Linda Stewart, library manager, said: "I wasn't at the meeting but I think there was some oppo- sition."
She said they would now be making changes to the application before resubmitting it for consideration at a future meeting of the licensing sub- committee.
