It will be forced to close unless it can come up with the money it needs to stay in operation - and fast.
Support Parents in Need (Spin) operates from a community room at Colbayns High School, Clacton. It was funded by the Education Action Zone but that has now come to an end.
The group provides a free service, but needs money to pay for creche facilities to give mums and dads a break.
Melissa Heffer, secretary of Spin, said it was facing an uncertain future.
"We know that the service we provide is desperately needed in this area and the last thing we want to do is have to close it down," she said.
Anyone who can help should contact 01255 428675.
