A protest group drew first blood in the fight to win people's opinions when an energy company showed its onshore wind farm proposals for Bradwell.
Visitors to the public exhibition at the weekend were greeted by a deafening grinding noise drummed out from a loud speaker, as members of Bradwell and Tillingham Tackling Lost Environment (Battle) entered Bradwell village hall.
The group, demonstrating against N-Power's proposals, claimed the noise was a true recording of a working turbine, which was recorded as part of a fact-finding mission to a working wind farm in Wales.
The noise was played throughout the exhibition to show people what they may have to live with if they agreed with the renewable energy company's plans to site 26 400ft turbines outside Bradwell and Tillingham.
N-Power hit back against the noise claims by displaying notices telling people crowding the venue that the sound outside misrepresented what a wind farm actually sounded like because the recording methods were incorrect and distorted.
N-Power claims Bradwell's location is one of the best places for siting a renewable energy source in the UK.
