Tommy Miller hailed the impact of new signing David Unsworth after Ipswich Town's vital 2-0 success at Sheffield United.
The Blues moved five points clear at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship after goals from the Portsmouth loanee and Shefki Kuqi silenced Bramall Lane.
And midfielder Miller told the Gazette: "David's absolute quality and could prove a vital signing as we go for promotion.
"He's got bags of experience and a great left foot and the fact he made such an instant impact, on his debut, shows what an important player he's going to be.
"It was a great finish for his goal, although at the time I was willing him to square the ball back to me.
"Darren Bent was in the middle, too, but David had the confidence to have a shot and gave the keeper no chance."
