Two members of police staff being investigated after cash went missing remain suspended on full pay.
The women were arrested and questioned following the disappearance of Euros worth about £60,000 last year from a north Essex police station.
They were released without charge and a decision was taken not to prosecute but they remained suspended for a professional standards investigation.
An Essex Police spokesman said the women have now been interviewed by the professional standards department.
He said a file had been submitted to chief officers who are now deciding whether to take any further action against the two members of staff.
