Phil Parkinson has said the bust-up at Bloomfield Road is all forgotten.

The Colchester United manager has put the unsavoury incident that occurred at Blackpool last October in the past as he prepares his troops for the Seasiders' visit to Layer Road tomorrow in the Coca-Cola League One.

The scuffle, which was sparked-off by an incident between U's midfielder Joe Keith and Blackpool's Danny Coid, escalated into a mass brawl between the Colchester players and the Blackpool team, with senior U's players rushing off the bench in a bid to try and calm the situation down.

Parkinson said: "We have seen a lot of these brawls this season and unfortunately we got caught up in one of them. It cost both teams in terms of suspensions and also money."

The Football Association did not look too favourably on Colchester, hitting the club with a £6,000 fine and a one-match ban for Craig Fagan and a three-match ban for Ben May, who was on loan from Milwall at the time.

"It's all forgotten now," said Parkinson. "We are not expecting an unsavoury match tomorrow, all we are concerned about is focusing on winning three points."
