A workman has suffered a hand injury after it got caught in machinery.
The accident happened at the Dock Company in High Street, Mistley, at about 4.20pm yesterday.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "The man got his right hand caught between a crowbar and the machinery.
"When the crew of the ambulance arrived, colleagues had already managed to free the hand. He has damaged his end two fingers they had been split open and bones had been broken and there was swelling.
"This must have been very painful but it is likely that the man will make a full recovery."
