A family today told how they have been left with "only the clothes on our backs" after fire ripped through their home.
Partners Chris Andrews, 39, and Paula Graham, 37, said their terraced house in Somercotes, Laindon, was virtually destroyed by the blaze.
The fire, which was started accidentally by Ms Graham's 12-year-old son Jason as he played with an aerosol, also left a neighbouring family homeless.
Mr Andrews, who is staying with Ms Graham, stepson Jason and their daughter Shannon with his partner's mother-in-law<OK>, said: "We have lost everything and, to make things even worse, we were not insured."
