West Ham's second string suffered a crushing defeat in a hastily-rescheduled Premier Res-erve League South game.
The match was moved forward because of Ham-mers' FA Youth Cup date with Leyton Orient on February 16, but the even-ing did little to encourage Kevin Keen and his young side.
Even though Saints were restricted in their selection by the demands of last night's first-team game at Birmingham they still proved too strong.
With experienced players like Brett Ormerod and Jo Tessem in the opposition line-up it was inevitably going to be a difficult evening for the reserves, and so it proved in a one-sided fixture.
