Pauline Mapleston, of Coronation Road, Clacton, said she "couldn't wait" to get to Asda, where she can spend the £100 prize.
The 63-year old said: "It is fantastic to win the first Spot Dolly competition as I have never won anything before in my life."
The Gazette has teamed up with Asda for the new daily competition in which readers must find where Dolly is located inside the newspaper.
The winner, who is picked at random, is given a £100 gift voucher for Asda.
