A concerned Maldon bird owner is offering a £500 reward to anyone who has found his lost parrot.

Michael Mooney, of Brompton Gardens, has been without his two-year-old white-capped Amazonian parrot since it flew out of a window while he was decorating his new home last Thursday.
Mr Mooney, 36, believes he will not get another one like his distinctive parrot, Gordon, which is green, purple and blue with a white crown.
Mr Mooney said: "It's not rare but it's sentimental. I bought it for my girlfriend but it took a liking to me. When it's on the ground it waddles like a duck and it's a little bigger than a blackbird. It doesn't like the cold weather at all, it will be afraid and alone."
If you have found Gordon contact the Gazette on 01621 877572.
