A sex monster who made his home a "magnet" for young girls was back behind bars today after he sexually assaulted a schoolgirl while on bail for a similar offence.
Former school caretaker Albert Fairhead, 70, was sentenced to 14 months in prison after pleading guilty to molestering the 15-year-old at his former Craylands home last Februaryr.
The distraught victim, who is now 16 and was in foster care at the time, managed to push Fairhead away before running off and telling a teacher who called police.
Yesterday, Basildon Crown Court heard how Fairhead's house had been a "magnet" for young girls who would be given sweets, coke and crisps.
At the time of the offence, the depraved pensioner had been on bail since December 2003 when he was arrested on suspicion of molesting a seven-year-old girl.
