Southend United goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan today revealed he would be disappointed to lose his place in the team to Bart Griemink when the Dutchman regains full fitness.
The former Southampton shot stopper has replaced the injured Griemink in recent weeks and, after securing two successive clean sheets, Flahavan now has his sights set on re-establishing himself as a regular starter for the Shrimpers.
"I have been happy with the way things have gone since I came back into the team," said the custodian who has made 198 appearances for the Seasiders.
"And I was told that if I did well then I would keep the shirt so if I did get left out when Bart is fit again then I wouldn't be very happy."
