Councillors have deferred a review of planning refusal for three new houses in Halstead.
Braintree Council's regulatory committee had been du to decide whether to accept the Halstead area committee's refusal of planning permission for the three detached homes in Mount Hill, or to reverse the decision and allow the houses to be built.
But councillors voted to defer the matter to a future meeting to get more professional technical advice on concerns over road safety if the houses were built.
