Sarah Claxton stormed to her second personal best of the year at the Five-Nations tournament in Glasgow.
The Belgrave Harriers athlete and life member of Colchester and Tendring Athletics Club clocked 8.05 seconds in the 60 metres to secure third place as Great Britain finished second behind Russia in the overall standings and ahead of France, Sweden and Italy.
Claxton was pipped to the post by Russian Marina Shevchenko in second place, and Susanna Kallur from Sweden who set the fastest time of the year in 7.95s to claim gold.
In fact the podium line-up mirrored that of last year's event, which saw the same threesome finish in exactly the same order.
Delighted Claxton said: "I was really pleased with my performance. I was confident going into the event as training had been going well and it's good to set another personal best."
