Phil Parkinson was disappointed that Colchester United did not show the Blackburn Rovers fans what they could do.

Over we go - Neil Danns hurdles Blackburn's Tugay 40775-21

The U's supremo was reflecting on his side's 3-0 FA Cup fourth-round exit at Ewood Park on Saturday.

It was the third Premiership team that Parkinson's charges had faced this season, following a 2-1 win at home to West Bromwich Albion in the second round of the Carling Cup and a 3-2 defeat at Southampton in the following round of the same competition.

Parkinson said: "I felt that we didn't put the same sort of performance in against Blackburn as we did against the other Premiership sides.

"The Rovers fans did not see the real Colchester United."
