A 31-YEAR-old paedophile could face jail after being convicted of making indecent images of children.

David Camp junior, of Dewsgreen Vange, was found guilty at Basildon Crown Court on Friday of six counts of making child porn images on his computer.

Throughout his trial the defendant maintained his innocence and while he admitted searching the internet for hardcore porn, he denied deliberately downloading the child porn video clips and images.

Camp jnr was caught when police raided his home and seized two computers, which contained 40 images downloaded between January and April 2003.

A computer expert further discovered that he had typed the words "little girl", "daddy" and "paedo" into the internet search engines to pull up child porn.

His father, 54-year-old David Camp, senior, of the same address, also faced 13 joint charges with his son of making indecent images and one of possession.

Camp snr broke down in tears when the judge acquitted him and ruled there was no evidence against him, and at the end of the trial on Friday, Camp jnr was also acquitted of the joint charges.

The case was adjourned for pre sentence reports and Camp jnr will be sentenced on Monday, February 28.
