Grays' march to the Conference South title rolled on at Sutton United on Saturday with an emphatic 6-0 win.

John Martin led the way with a hat-trick, with Leroy Griffiths, Steve West and Dean Brennan also getting on the scoreshet.

Thurrock suffered a surprise home defeat to lowly Margate, Jimmy McFarlane's goal their only consolation as they went down 2-1.

The borough's other two sides, fighting hard at opposite ends of the table, both drew.

East Thurrock United squandered a two goal lead when drawing 2-2 with improving Boreham Wood. Keith Martin and Paul Linger had put the Rocks in a commanding position but their visotors produced a fightback to share the points.

There was also a fightback at Chadfields, where struggling Tilbury recovered from a 3-1 defecit to claim a 3-3 draw against Leighton.

John Purches had put the Dockers ahead after five minutes but by the middle of the second half Leighton were well in control.

However Keith Wilson and Callan Ware netted to lift the Dockers, who play host to East Thurrock on Tuesday evening.
