Plans to transform healthcare facilities on Canvey with two new super-clinics are set to be backed by Castle Point Council next week.
Castle Point Council's policy and resources committee is recommended to approve proposals to create the two clinics on the island.
The centres would include GP surgeries and the be equipped to carry out other medical services such as minor operations, taking the pressure off Southend Hospital.
The clinics are part of a blueprint from Rochford and Castle Point Primary Care Trust to improve health services on the island.
