Phil Parkinson is aiming to write a new chapter in the history of Colchester United.
Phil Parkinson wants his travelling supporters to be proud of the team tomorrow. 40628-2
The U's supremo is focusing on causing an upset at Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round tomorrow.
And if he pulls it off it will be the first Colchester side to knock a top-flight team out of the FA Cup since Dick Graham's side pulled off one of the greatest shocks in the competition's history when they beat Leeds United 3-2 at Layer Road in 1971.
Parkinson said: "We want to achieve the same status as the team that beat Leeds.
"People have never forgot that game.
"It would be great if this side was remembered in the future the way that side is."
