A disused nuclear bunker which dates back to the height of the cold war was today up for sale for £10,000.
The shelter, which measures 15ft by 7ft 4ins, is the smallest property estate agent Mullucks Wells has ever sold.
Lying in the corner of a farmer's field between Great Dunmow and Stebbing, near Braintree, the bunker was built by the Ministry of Defence in the late 1950s.
It was designed to withstand a nuclear blast on London and intended to act as a monitoring post in the event of an attack.
