A variety show organised by the Chamber in Colchester in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MRSC) has beaten its £5,000 target.
More than 40 local business people took part in the show at the Mercury Theatre in November, providing a night of entertainment with music, singing, comedy and magic.
The show was attended by about 400 people, including civic dignitaries, with money raised from ticket sales, donated by the theatre, as well as a tombola, bucket collection and programme sales.
Organiser Karen Ainley, president of North Essex Chamber, said: "We managed to surpass our target by raising £5,500 for the MSRC. It really demonstrates what the business community can do when we put our dancing shoes on!"
Videos and DVDs of the Chamberee are available for £12.50 on 01206 765277.
