Jill Blyth, cook at St Osyth Church of England Primary School, contacted food firm Aunt Bessie's in a bid to brighten up Shrove Tuesday for the youngsters.
"Every year there is a pancake race in the village and then the children come in for lunch and look for them on the menu," she said. "However, there is no way I can stand and cook 180 pancakes for them."
Mrs Blyth contacted the firm to see if it could help out. Now a consignment is on the way to the Rochford Road school.
"I asked for 120 and they came back and offered us 600," added Mrs Blyth. "We are very grateful. It means the pupils will all get three each."
