Am looking for the possible children of Walter Starling.
Just a few years before the outbreak of world war two, my grandfather Walter Starling who at the time was living in Coggeshall, eloped with a lady and went to live in the Langenhoe/ Abberton area.
It wasn't spoken about much as it would have been "tabboo" in those days (and I wasn't born then). When my grandmother died an attempt was made to contact him as he would have been free to re-marry. We tried because we didn't think they ever divorced, but the search was un-successful.
However, we believe he did go on to father two more offspring. We don't know if their names or even if they were boys or girls.
We believe he had a brother who at sometime was living in the East Hill area of Colchester and used to frequent the Goat and Boot pub.
We understand if you don't wish to get in contact with previous relatives but would appreciate any help.
Thank you, Tony Starling
