The Harwich branch of the Tendring Volunteer Bureau has moved to the Park Pavilion in Barrack Lane, Dovercourt. Councillors and leaders of local organisations were present for the first official session at the new premises.
The site means the service will have a base for volunteers in the Helping Hands programme. This scheme offers low-cost transport for medical and social appointments, home maintenance tasks and wheelchair pushing.
