Denise Morley has had a season to remember since becoming a veteran in June.
The Colchester Harriers athlete who is also a member of the Inland Revenue's Athletics Club - where she is employed - won the coveted Sir Arnold France trophy, which is presented to the outstanding national female athlete of the year in the Civil Service.
Having starred in the Inland Revenue sports day event last year, Morley picked up the Victrix Ludorum Trophy for a record sixth time and carried on this form in the Civil Services Championships by winning a further four medals and an invaluable 14 individual points - which helped the Inland Revenue to a narrow victory over their Civil Service colleagues.
Morley has been successful with Harriers too as she was awarded the club's female cross-country athlete of the year award last November.
She is an outstanding track athlete and last summer was a major contributor to Colchester Harriers' Southern Women's League success and promotion to division one for the first time in their history.
