Great Wakering Rovers might find it tough tonight when they bid to increase their unbeaten Southern League Division One East unbeaten run, which currently stands at six games.
For they host Essex rivals Wivenhoe Town who, in sixth position, are on the fringes of the promotion race.
Wivenhoe went down 3-1 at second-placed Uxbridge on Saturday while Wakering drew 0-0 at home to Beaconsfield SYCOB.
Previous to that match Tony Cross' Wakering had achieved their first two home wins of the season and their recent run has seen them climb the table from penultimate spot to their current fourth from bottom placing.
Victory tonight would see them putting pressure on the teams above them as well as moving further clear of the bottom trio and they'll be hoping to see Nana Badu recapture the scoring form which saw him score five in three games before the weekend.
