A school has written to its neighbours asking for help in catching teenage yobs plaguing the area.
Buttsbury Junior School, in Norsey View Drive, Billericay, has had two laptops worth £1,700 and a television stolen by the gang in recent weeks.
The hooded youths are also regularly trespassing on the school grounds to drink beer and smoke.
They have even been seen wandering on the roof.
In a letter to neighbours headteacher Mr Vaughan Collier writes: "Until police either catch the culprits on site or we achieve a positive identification the problems are likely to continue.
"If you notice youths on the site or roof at the weekend or during the evening a call to the police would be appreciated."
