A biker was today recovering from horrific injuries he suffered in a dramatic road smash which saw him end up inside the back of a van.
Former teenage tearaway Ronnie Tretton was thrown through the rear window of the white Renault panel van after hitting it from behind in Nestudia Way, Eastwood.
The incident, which occurred near the Tesco superstore, in Prince Avenue, at shortly before 2.40pm on Saturday, left him with two broken arms, a broken left wrist and left pelvis and broken right leg.
Mr Tretton, of Birche Close, Leigh, became notorious as the first person in Southend to receive an antisocial behaviour order in April 2002,
He was rushed to Southend Hospital by ambulance where he received emergency surgery. This morning, he was reported to be in a stable condition in hospital.
