These are just some of the animals, abandoned before, during and after Christmas, hoping to find new, loving owners.
For the time being they are living and being well cared for at Mistley Place Park.
"We've been inundated. We have dogs, rabbits, rats and mice and enough guinea pigs to start a farm," said Maureen Taylor, one of the owners of the New Road animal rescue centre.
She added: "It underlines that people really shouldn't give pets as presents."
