Child murderer Stuart Campbell will remain behind bars after judges threw out his appeal for the killing of Danielle Jones.
The perverted builder, 46, was jailed for life in December 2002 for the kidnapping and murder of his 15-year-old niece.
Her body has never been found.
Three judges at the Court of Appeal, in London, took just two minutes on Friday to rule against Campbell's claim that the conviction was unsafe on a number of grounds.
As the verdict was read out Danielle's parents, Linda and Tony, embraced and began to cry.
Campbell was standing yards away in the caged dock but showed no emotion.
