A man had to be cut free from his car after he was involved in a crash.
A Saab and a red Volkswagen Polo were in collision at the junction of Potter Street and the A1124 Halstead Road, Sible Hedingham, at about 2.30pm yesterday.
The 19-year-old Volkswagen driver, from Sible Hedingham, had to be freed from his car and was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, by the Essex Air Ambulance.
The two elderly occupants of the Saab were uninjured but the car had substantial damage.
Shortly afterwards a female driver of a Citroen Saxo car hit the central reservation on the A1124 but was not seriously injured.
Anyone who was witness to either accident is asked to contact Bocking traffic police on 01376 330722.
