Motorists fear new road safety measures introduced in a village will only lead to increased danger, not reduce it.

The scheme is currently being carried out in Great Holland at the junction of Little Clacton Road and Main Road. Drivers are now calling on Tendring Council to reconsider the layout.
Stephen Float has been down the road in both his car and a bus.
"I saw the work under way but it wasn't until the road markings went down that I realised how dangerous it was going to be," he said.
Mr Float, a driving instructor and a part-time coach driver, said the main problem was drivers were unable to see what was coming from the right without going out over the white lines.
"You are pulling out into a 40mph limit and it has been badly designed," he said.
Mike Page, public relations manager for Tendring Council, said the scheme still had to be completed. He asked drivers to be patient until it had been finished.
