Tug the dog needs a home. The terrier was found in Mersea Road, Colchester, and handed into Colchester police, who are trying to find someone to adopt her.
Appeal - terrier Tug. 40283-3
Det Con Linda Darrington, of Colchester police, said: "She's a sweet little thing. She's a good little dog and deserves a good home."
But she said the english bull/staffordshire terrier cross would need to be the only pet in a home: "She needs to go somewhere she will be number one."
The dog, called Tug because it pulls on its lead, was rehomed with a Chelmsford family, but it did not get on with another dog there so it had to be brought back to the police station.
If you would like to offer to adopt Tug, call 01206 762212 and leave details for DC Darrington with reception staff.
