ALL three borough sides involved in cup action on Tuesday evening emerged victorious.
Pick of the crop were Grays, who humbled Conference National pacesetters Barnet 3-0 in the GLS Conference Cup third round.
Not far behind in the giant-killing stakes were East Thurrock United who were also in action in their league cup, dumping Southern League Premier side Hitchen Town out of the competition's third round with an emphatic 4-1 win at Rookery Hill.
Keith Martin, Scott Holding, Martin Tuohy and Danny Harris were on target for the home side.
In the Thameside Trophy, Southern League Division One East Tilbury enjoyed a respite from their basement battle and beat Essex Senior League side Bowers and Pitsea United 2-1 in Basildon thanks to goals from Danny excley and Chris Sorainhdo.
*Grays, who head the Conference South table, will be looking for more cup glory in the FA Trophy. After Saturday's win against Sutton United they were paired at home to fellow Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville in the fourth round. 17th-placed Havant also have the worst away record in the league.
Grays' Neighbours Thurrock were less fortunate in the draw, though will still be confident when travelling to Ryman Premier side Slough in the next round after progressing with a battling 1-0 win against Aldershot.
