A mural featuring notable Wivenhoe events has been unveiled in the town council's offices on the High Street.

The work, painted by Susannah Bradley, was unveiled at a ceremony attended by residents and councillors by Wivenhoe mayor Peter Hill.
The mural, called A Year in Wivenhoe, depicts topics including the crabbing contest, open gardens, the pantomime, art on the railings, the teddy bear's picnic and the Wivenhoe Players.
It measures 1.2m by 2.8m and can be seen in the newly-refurbished entrance lobby of the town council offices.
Mrs Bradley, of The Dale, Wivenhoe, was commissioned by the council to prepare the mural, which includes a number of Wivenhoe personalities.
