Members from Colchester and Tendring Athletics Club produced some fine performances in the South of England Indoor Pentathlete Championships in Bedford, with over ten personal bests set and a bronze medal claimed.
Louis Persent showed star potential by clinching third place in the under-17 men's competition after picking up personal bests in the 60 metre hurdles and high jump saw him on his way.
In the under-17 women's event, Jade Morgan, competing in her first indoor pentathlon, finished a respectable fifth out of 20 competitors and set new bests in the shot putt, 60m hurdles and high jump.
