Basildon snooker star Stuart Bingham must be sick and tired of the name of Stephen Maguire after suffering defeat at the hands of the game's top up-and-coming young star for the second time in five days.
Last Thursday the new towner was crushed 5-1 by Maguire in the final qualifying round of the Irish Masters at Pontin's Pres-tatyn in Wales.
And last night the two met again in the first round of the competition proper in the Welsh Open tournament.
Maguire, the reigning Travis Perkins UK champion who has twice beaten world champ Ronnie O'Sullivan in major tournaments already this term, again came out on top.
But Bingham managed more spirited opposition on this latest occasions. He eventually lost 5-3 in the best-of-nine frames affair in Newport.
