Southend United supremo Ron Martin today admitted he was not surprised to see the Shrimpers named as the second biggest payers to football agents in League Two.
A report issued by the Football League, revealed Blues have handed over £35,000 to agents in the past six months, with only Swansea City paying more in the basement level of the game.
But Martin was not shocked by the findings.
"I'm not surprised at all that we're second in the figures because we've signed a few players," he said.
"They've all done well so I've been happy with their impact and have not minded paying at all.
"But it's not just new players that require agents fees - it's when you sort out contracts with those already at the club as well and we've had a few new deals to negotiate lately."
