DESPITE seeing his side's bid to go one better than Manchester United thwarted in the last five minutes, Billericay Town boss Justin Edinburgh was in chirpy mood following the 2-2 FA Trophy third round draw with Exeter at New Lodge.
Just seven days previously the Red Devils had been held 0-0 by the Nationwide Conference side at Old Trafford in one of the biggest FA Cup upsets for years and the replay goes ahead at the Grecians' St James's park ground on Wednesday.
Joked former Spurs' star Edinburgh: "Perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson will give me a ring to get some tips on how to score against Exeter."
There was no denying the pride of Edinburgh in his Ryman Premier promotion-chasing side on the performance they had produced on their day in the national media spotlight.
"My boys were magnificent on the day. Goalkeeper Paul Gothard got the ball rolling with a great penalty save after only two minutes and we never looked back.
"When we went 2-0 up there didn't look any way back for them, but all credit to Exeter. With Wednesday's big game against Man United coming up no one would have blamed them for giving it up.
"But they didn't. They battled back to earn a draw with two goals in the last five minutes and now we've got to do the same as Manchester United - go down to Exeter and try for a result."
