Student Sally Geeson frantically fought for her life, her twin sister has revealed.
In her desperate efforts to escape from sex monster David Atkinson, she kicked in the windscreen of his car with her high heels.
But she was not strong enough to escape from the soldier, who raped her and then strangled her to death.
Sally's final monets were revealed by her identical twin sistrer Julie, who said she has taken comfort from news her sister fought desperately for her life.
Julie said: "When I saw her lying in the mortuary her face was covered in cuts and grazes, which shows what a struggle she had put up.
"I know for a fact that she fought like hell all the way because police say she kicked her way through the windscreen of his car with her high heels."
Sally, 22, of Cornworthy, Shoebury,. disappeared after a night out in a Cambridge pub on new year's eve. Lance Corporal David Atkinson, 31, abducted, raped and murdered the young woman before leaving her body in nearby woodland.
From the marks on her neck it seems she was strangled from behind. Tests have shown that Atkinson raped her.
