A quick-thinking security guard was today praised after he trapped bogus deliverymen believed to be responsible for a £125,000 heist.
The gate worker at the Argos Depot warehouse, in Miles Gray Road, Basildon, allowed the suspicious pair onto the site before locking all the exits and calling police.
The two men were pretending to be company drivers collecting goods but were actually fraudsters looking to steal the cargo, said officers.
