New plans for a multi-million pound medical centre in Clacton will be ready within the next two months - and will include a scheme to transport patients to hi-tech facilities.
That's the promise from health bosses behind the project being designed to serve more than 20,000 residents from Holland-on-Sea and Great Clacton
An original proposal from Tendring Primary Care Trust (PCT) for the Kennedy Way site was rejected last year.
Tendring councillors were concerned about access and how residents would be able to get to the centre with no direct bus route.
Paul Unsworth, chief executive of the PCT, told a board meeting yesterday that architects were making good progress on the updated plans.
"We will be submitting them to the board before going for planning permission and we anticipate that will be in March at the latest," he said.
