Colchester United's utility man Greg Halford believes it is time to start nailing down that one position on the field.
The versatile Colchester United player has been a great asset for manager Phil Parkinson this term by comfortably playing in a number of roles.
At the moment the 20-year-old believes that, with the exception of goalkeeper, the only place he has not played this year is centre-back and left-back.
As much as Halford is enjoying playing the different roles he feels that the time is coming to focus on just the one.
He said: "It's a good thing to able to play in these different places. I was brought up to believe if you could play 11 positions then you had 11 chances of playing.
"However, I want to focus on one position now. Which one it is will not be up to me, it will be up to Phil Parkinson.
"My preferred position, though, is centre of midfield, I was brought up to play that position."
