Joe Royle described this hard-earned win as the most important victory of the season for Ipswich Town.
The Blues boss said: "I really feel that because we weren't at our best, yet dug in and hung in there to get three points.
"It was typical Ipswich. We started slowly and gave a goal away. Then we inched back, got in front and conceded a penalty.
"And then we scored again. We certainly make life hard for ourselves but we've scored another three goals. We're the leading scorers in the division and I'm proud of that."
Despite their sluggish start, Town battled back and Royle said: "No-one could question our spirit.
"There's a great friendship among the players and our goal celebrations weren't contrived the lads think the world of each other and they're always pleased for each other when we score."
