Mini-motorcycles are not toys - that is the message being given to parents in a bid to make sure their children stay safe.
Since Christmas, a number of these vehicles have been seen being driven by youngsters and they have been doing so without crash helmets.
But police warn this can be dangerous as the mini-motorcycles can do speeds of up to 70mph.
PC Jane Goldsbrough, of Clacton police, said: "We want to bring it to the attention of the public that if you are seen on the road, police will take action."
The mini motorcycles were originally designed for use on a race track.
