The Whirlwind blew aside his opponent Ronnie O'Sullivan with a 4-2 victory. The Premier League format of six frames and only 25 seconds per shot suits the popular Londoner, who spends on average 18 seconds to pot a ball.
He said: "I was not bothered by the shot clock. Both me and Ronnie O'Sullivan are quick players so it's no trouble."
White failed to get a century break, but he did enough to secure the victory to send him top of the Premier League.
He said: "I got some good breaks and that was enough to win three of the four frames. I'm pleased to go top and I enjoy the format."
O'Sullivan admitted that he was blown away by the Whirlwind last night.
He said: "Jimmy put me in a lot of trouble and then he didn't do a lot wrong himself. It just didn't come off for me tonight. I can just console myself that it's early days into the season."
