Prince Harry dressing up as a Nazi has been condemned as "highly insulting" by a Southend rabbi.
Harry was last night forced to apologise after it was revealed he attended a friend's birthday party wearing a swastika and the desert uniform of the German Afrika Korps.
Rabbi Mendel Lew, of Southend, was shocked by the news, especially as it is only a few weeks before Holocaust remembrance day on January 27.
He said: "This is very sad and very insulting, not only to our community but to anyone who remembers the Holocaust.
"I think he means it as a joke, but the reality is very different."
