The father of murdered Sally Geeson today demanded a full investigation into how her killer was able to stay into the Army and prey on women.
Laurence Geeson, 51, from Rectory Road, Hockley, is growing increasingly anguished as more women come forward claiming they too have been attacked by David Atkinson.
Rochford and Southend East MP Sir Teddy Taylor has also asked Home Secretary Charles Clarke to set up a committee to look at how offenders are treated and monitored.
Mr Geeson said: "I want a full investigation by the Army. I want to know how he was able to get away with this.
"I always thought the Army was supposed to protect the public - not protect itself.
"I want this investigation to be open, honest and thorough - that is the least Sally deserves."
